The Manufacturing modules are designed for manufacturers and their
special
needs supporting both Kanban and JIT environments. It offers extensive
functionality across the breadth of manufacturing to help you provide the
highest quality products while maintaining profitability through efficient
and low cost production. The system enables you to create realistic
production plans to help you realize the maximum return on investment. The
system includes Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Master Requirements
Planning (MRP) as well as Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP), with
multiple planning groups. Of course the system is completely bar code
enabled.
Rules-Based Configurator
The configurator functions both in Engineering and Order Entry to prevent
mistakes in the selling of products that cannot be manufactured.
Production Activity Control
The Production module provides the facilities required to effectively manage
the manufacturing process. Full integration with Marketing, Inventory,
Engineering, General Ledger and Purchasing allow manufacturing management to
carry out the production plan while adjusting to the normal day-to-day
operations.
Master Scheduling (MPS)
MPS provides great flexibility in reflecting the overall production plans of
management by providing a detailed production schedule based on the demand
and taking into account the existing orders in the system as well as the
forecast.
MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
MRP computes the requirements for both the component parts as well as
assemblies. It is completely integrated into the overall system and
generates a detailed plan by resolving every element of supply and demand.
Specific parts of MRP can be run without the need to run the entire program.
Manufacturing Design
The Manufacturing Design module provides for the entry and maintenance of
the Parts Master, Bill of Material (Unlimited levels), Product Costing and
Product Configurator files. Full integration with all appropriate modules
helps insure complete product integrity throughout the system.
CRP (Capacity Requirements Planning)
CRP analyzes data from shop orders, planned orders and actual orders to
forecast how these orders will impact shop capacity. It helps identify
bottlenecks and to eliminate them, identifying the work load for each work
station.
