Royal 4 Systems Provides WMS for Xerox Channels Group

Long Beach, CA - (April, 2000) – Royal 4 Systems, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a contract with Xerox to provide warehouse management system (WMS) solutions for OH and CA based Distribution Centers. Among Xerox's demanding WMS specifications was the requirement that the WMS interface directly to, and be version independent of, QAD's MFG/PRO. Royal 4's WMS solution is called Warehouse Information System Expert or WISE. WISE has a seamless built-in MFG/PRO interface providing real time updates as inventory changes occur inbound, outbound and during any other operational reconciliations. In addition, WISE will be interfaced to TanData's Chainlink's Manifest System enabling Xerox to ship via least-cost LTL choices.

The Xerox Channels Group, a part of Xerox General Markets Operations, was formed in 1997 to establish Xerox as a leader and strong alternative to Hewlett-Packard in the rapidly growing retail and office channels. The Channels Group functions as an indirect channel "company within the company," significantly expanding market coverage. The group represents more than $1.5 billion in Xerox revenue.

The Channels Group provides personal and networked document solutions for the general office and small-office/home-office (SOHO) markets through indirect retail and office channels worldwide. Retail channels include an expanding number of office superstores, consumer electronics stores and warehouse clubs. Office channels include a growing network of value-added resellers (VARs), office equipment dealers and systems integrators.
